What You Measure Gets Managed

When I worked in the corporate world, much of what I did was measured. Sales numbers, open rates, profit margins, etc.. If it was important, it was on a report that was updated and reviewed, sometimes daily.

When I first started my own coaching business, I resisted that sort of tracking and reporting. It felt too corporate. That was a mistake.

What You Measure Gets Managed.

Consider your experience weighing yourself when you're on a diet, or counting your steps, or watching your 401K balance grow. What we measure really gets our attention.

Is there something that needs your attention you're not tracking?

  • The number of new designs you've created?

  • The number of newsletters sent?

  • The number of meaningful networking conversations had?

  • The number of date nights with your spouse?

  • The number of miles logged?

Why not start tracking it today?
