Discover Your Essence

Often, when I'm talking to a new client, I ask them to describe their favorite part of their work. Then, they tell me all about it along with a big smile.

This work is why they do what they do!

It allows them to express their unique essence. It's the work that makes them feel most alive, and it's often the work they can get paid the most for.

Are you ready to explore this question? If so, carve out some quiet. Turn off your phone, grab a journal, and dive in!

  • Think of examples from the past when your work was most aligned with your inner essence. These could be recent projects or things that occurred years ago - write down whatever comes to mind.

  • What parts of your work are out of alignment with your inner essence?

  • Based on the answers to the questions above, what, if any, changes do you want to make in your work so more of your inner essence can be expressed?

  • When do you want to make these changes?

  • Who and what can support you to make them happen?
