3 Reasons To Save The Date
One of the hard things when launching or relaunching something in my business is selecting the launch date. I know that once I declare it, I'm committed and then I'm on the line to make it happen.
I often hear this initial resistance to commit to a date when I'm working with clients. They have this big thing that they want to do in their business to move it forward, but they're not quite ready to pick a date. I get it.
Yet we all know the power of an immovable date. The wedding occurs, taxes are filed, votes are cast, the plane takes off, the baby arrives.
In my experience, 3 big things happen when we declare a date - even if we're just saying it to ourselves, or our business bestie, or our coach.
We Get Disciplined: We become laser-focused, we craft project plans and we say no to everything that's not essential.
We Ask For Help: Some of us (including me) struggle with this. But when we feel the urgency of a looming due date, we often have no choice but to ask for much-needed help.
We Gain Momentum. You've likely heard the old saying about how a body in motion stays in motion. This is true in our work. Once we get started, energy increases and momentum is built.
So commit to what's important, save the date, and let the momentum build!
