Go Get Your Money
One of the things I often hear from new clients and potential clients is that they want to make more money.
They DON'T want to work more (me neither).
They DO want to do their best work, be generous, make an impact, earn more, and feel abundant (me too).
I coach, talk, and write a lot about doing work you love. But what I've learned (often the hard way) is that if you're not making enough money for this work, you're not really thriving.
I want us all to thrive.
With that in mind, here are five strategies to make more money that I'm exploring and inviting my clients to explore in 2025.
Do something in person. The pandemic put a stop to in-person events. I love working with clients from around the country and the world on Zoom from my home office. But, I miss the in-person events I used to do. And I'm hearing from others they miss being in person, too. So, I'm bringing back a couple of in-person events in 2025. How about you? Is there a service you could offer that would be better in person?
Raise your rates. I've heard all the excuses from clients (and I've told myself some of these excuses, too). It get it. It feels hard to raise prices. Challenge yourself, or find a friend or coach to challenge you and raise your rates. This will cause you to up your game. For more on this topic, download my Free Guide on Leveling Up Your Income.
Charge for what you give away. If you're spending hours on the phone with potential clients as if you were a paid consultant or helping newbies in your industry over and over again, why not package this up into something you can sell?
Do what's easy. Often, we discount or give away the things that are easy for us as we don't appreciate the value it brings to others. Why not charge for these things?
Bring something back. Sometimes the pressure for new and different causes us to constantly create brand new things. Why not bring back something from the past? It may be ready to go as is, or just need a quick refresh. Either way, it's easier than building something from scratch.
I'd love to hear from you. What will you experiment with to make more money in 2025?
