Today's Setback is Tomorrow's Comeback!

In light of the election results, there's been lots of talk about what do we do now? I recently heard this brilliant reminder:

I was reminded that nearly every period of growth, reinvention, and momentum in my life occurred after a major setback:

• The soul-sucking, burned-out, values-misaligned years that led to a career I absolutely love.

• The hard truth of facing that my business wasn't making enough money and the fire it created in me to get out of my comfort zone and make some moves in my work.

• The partnership opportunity I thought would be my big break that turned out to be a big mistake but led me to finally bet on myself, and creating my own thing. No partners needed.

I bet you have a setback that pointed directly to the work that was your comeback, too. I'd love to hear about it!

And I'm sure there will be more setbacks and comebacks ahead, and I say bring them on.
