Testimonials Matter
Testimonials matter. They signal to potential clients who you work with and what they can expect if they work with you. They're as powerful as any great pics or brilliant copy you might have on your website.
My clients sell my services better than I ever could.
Do you want to add some new testimonials to your website? Let me take you behind the scenes on the steps I took to get some for the recent relaunch of my All-In With Winn Group Coaching Program.
When the last All-In With Winn Session wrapped up in March, I asked participants if they'd be willing to provide a testimonial. Timing is important as I wanted to capture their feelings while our work together was fresh in their minds.
I sent a personal email (not a group email) with what I specifically needed from them. For direction on the testimonial itself, I asked clients to speak from their heart. I also asked for photos and permission to use their name, business name, and location. I find using real clients' names and business names helps build credibility. I kept the language in my emails warm and conveyed my gratitude and a no-pressure vibe.
I gave a timeframe for when I'd ideally get everything back from them to increase the likelihood that it wouldn't fall through the cracks.
I sent an email to remind a few people who said yes but hadn't followed through in the timeframe requested.
I updated my website using what I received.
